The family of Samuel Descartes, affectionately known as "Slycom" or "Sweetsam" of La Pointe, Mon Repos, sadly announces his passing.
Samuel was a remarkable man whose presence brought love, laughter, and joy to everyone around him. He was known for his kind heart, joyful spirit and the warmth he shared with family and friends.
Samuel departed this life on March 4th, 2026, at St Jude Hospital, at the age of 51 years old; leaving behind a legacy of kindness, love, and cherished memories.
He was predeceased by his mother Marie Descartes

The funeral service of our beloved Samuel Descartes also known as Slycom or Sweetsam will be held at Born Again Revival Tabernacle Church in Mon Repos on Saturday, March 21st, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. Thereafter his body will be laid to rest at the Mon Repos Cemetery.
His body now lies at Rambally’s Funeral Parlour, La Tourney, Vieux Fort.
