It is with deep sadness that we announced the death of our Matriarch:Sebastienne Chiquot affectionately known as Miss Bastienne or Babap, of Labatrie, Laborie, who passed away at St. Jude Hospital on Tuesday May 12th, 2026 at the age of 94.

She was a retired employee in the Ministry of Health and was attached to the Laborie Health Center where she worked as a health center attendant, and Community Health Aide. She was amongst the 1st group of trainees in this new program initiated by the Ministry of Health in 1978.

The funeral service of the late Sebastienne Chiquot affectionately known as Miss Bastienne or Babap, of Laborie, will be held on Friday June 12, 2026b at 2:00pm at the Church of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Laborie. Her body will be interred at the Laborie Cemetery.

Her body now lies at Rambally’s Funeral Parlour, La Tourney, Vieux Fort.

May Her Soul continue to Rest in God’s Eternal Glory
